TP-Cover – Hard cover

The hard cover is fool proof and not prone to damages caused by wrong use or other unforeseen hazards.

Hard cover – Aluminium cover

The aluminium cover design is identical to the steel hard cover. The aluminium alternative is lightweight and offers a higher corrosion resistance for more durability and a longer life span.

The aluminium TP-Cover is therefore particularly suitable for long-term use or reuse for offshore windfarm projects with a similar diameter.

The TP-Cover is stackable and transportable as a stack without the need of a lifting frame. This enables efficient storage and transportation, reduces offshore works to a minimum and eliminates the need for a costly lifting frame. The stack can be hoisted by 4 lifting points on the bottom TP-Cover of the stack. The lifting points comply with DNV GL Offshore lifting guidelines.

Hard cover – Steel sheetmetal cover

The hard cover comprises 10 wedgeshaped elements made of 3mm thick sheetmetal. The watertightness is assured by creating positive and negative wedged-shaped parts. The negative parts have an upright rim on the edge which folds under the positive parts. The positive parts overlap the upright rim of the negative parts to create a fully closed top without any gaps.
All steel (S355) components are hot dip galvanized and include a 3.1 certificate.

The TP-Cover is stackable and transportable without the need of a lifting frame. This enables efficient storage and transportation, reduces offshore works to a minimum and eliminates the need for a costly lifting frame. Moreover, waste is reduced to a minimum. The stack can be hoisted by 4 lifting points on the bottom TP-Cover of the stack. A lifting frame is hence made redundant. The lifting points comply with DNV GL Offshore lifting guidelines.

TP-Cover – Soft cover

Working with a soft cover offers allot of flexibility. The canvas cover can easily be removed temporarily during operations. It is also easy repairable and replaceable for prolonged service or reuse.

Soft cover with sheet metal frame

The soft cover with sheet metal frame consists of a sturdy octagon shaped steel framework that is enveloped by a 900g/m2 panama fabric (PVC) cover. The TP-Cover is assembled onshore and then transported to the offshore site. The sturdy frame and retractable canvas cover enable safe and simple hoisting operations. Moreover, the TP-Cover is stackable and transportable as a stack without the need of a lifting frame. This enables efficient storage and transportation, reduces offshore works to a minimum and eliminates the need for a costly lifting frame. The stack can be hoisted by 4 lifting points on the bottom TP-Cover of the stack. The lifting points comply with DNV GL Offshore lifting guidelines.

To ensure complete water tightness, the skirt of the cover is tensioned around the base of the steel framework. An additional flap on the inside folds through slits in the steel structure and is fastened on the inside of the tent with elastic straps. By these means, a barrier is created to prevent wind and water from entering the transition piece.

Soft cover with steel tubing frame

The TP-Cover consists of a frame comprised of steel tubing, which is enveloped by a 900g/m2 panama fabric (PVC) cover.
The prime benefit of this cover is that it is fast and simple to assemble and disassemble. It consists of lightweight components that are easy to transport and easy to install. The cover can therefore be assembled onsite at offshore locations. The covers are supplied in a certified hoisting bag. The tent baseframe is provided with four lifting points to enable the hoisting of the fully mounted TP-Cover as well.

To ensure complete water tightness of the TP-Cover, the skirt of the cover is tensioned around the flange. An additional flap on the inside folds underneath the outer ring of the TP-Cover and is tensioned with elastic straps on the inside. By these means, a barrier is created to prevent wind and water from entering the transition piece.
